Welcome to the world of Pescado Loco Productions! This dynamic Mexican corporation, officially known as Producciones de Peces Locos, is making waves in Southern Baja California. Founded by the passionate duo, Ron and Carolyn Kirk, Pescado Loco aims to bring top-tier musical productions to the area, spotlighting both local and international talent.
High-Quality Music and Production
"We want to bring musical productions of the highest level to the area and attract artists from out of the area, as well as highlight the best of our local talent," says Carolyn Kirk. With a background in producing and promoting concerts in the United States, Carolyn and her team have assembled a core group of versatile musicians. This talented ensemble, known as the Pescado Loco Band, can play any genre, attracting guest vocalists and performers to deliver exceptional music.
But Pescado Loco doesn't stop at live performances. They offer comprehensive production services, including recording and full video capabilities, ensuring that every event is a memorable experience.
Supporting the Community
One of Pescado Loco's primary goals is to support local charities. Their efforts have significantly benefited the Los Cabos Volunteer Fire Department. The 2nd annual "Putting Out the Fire" Carlos Santana Tribute Band concert on April 13 was a smashing success, raising 50,000 pesos (MXN) for the firefighters. Over the years, their events have raised a total of 340,000 pesos (MXN), with the Santana tribute being the most successful event to date.
A Night to Remember
The Santana Tribute concert was a hit, thanks to the electrifying performance by guitarist Benito Meschoulam, who wowed the crowd with his fiery skills. Joined by guest vocalists Samantha Rae and Richie Talavara, the band's hypnotizing rhythms and sounds left the audience of over 400 people in awe. This was Benito's first live performance in Cabo San Lucas, making the night even more special.
Samantha Rae expressed her joy in being part of the event: "It gave me such pleasure to be part of the Pescado Loco Productions event to help the fire department through music. Ron and Carolyn Kirk are amazing human beings who have been nice enough to allow me to be a part of their vision."
Celebrating Santana
The tribute to Carlos Santana was a fitting homage to the legendary guitarist who has made a significant impact on music. Born and raised in Mexico, Santana's fusion of rock and roll with Latin American jazz has earned him numerous accolades, including 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards. Rolling Stone Magazine even named him the 11th greatest guitarist of all time in 2023.
